Our waiter friend Stephen from Uluru told us that we MUST have a meal at Flying Fish
in Sydney, his favorite place for a special night out. We were given a
table right on the waterside on the end of Jones Bay Wharf and the food was elegant and gorgeous...
Here is Mindy's selection of fish tapas...cauliflower prawn soup, white fish ceviche, and scallop rolls....
Prawn curry was a delight to see and even better to eat...
And what about these black squid ravioli filled with crab and floating in foam?
OK...now check out their bathrooms. You walk in and see this enclosed "private" toilet, only it doesn't look that "private"...
However, once you go inside, the glass walls turn opaque and you're
pretty much invisible. I say pretty much because we shot a little
movie of one of us using it and it wasn't invisible enough to put it on
the blog...whoops!
At the Customs House on the Circular Quay is this amazing miniature view of the whole city put under glass that you can walk over. Here it is lit up at night as seen from the restaurant way above it...
Another night we went to the Sydney Film Festival with our friends Barbara and Maureen. After seeing "Red Road" we went to dinner at Selah on Loftus St. It was loud and crowded but the food was delicious...
