Here's a selection of some of the most beautiful flowering plants that were growing around our hotel, The Sea Temple, in Pt. Douglas. The heat, humidity and many rains keep the plants lush and happy.
Variants of bird of paradise perhaps?
We loved these - they were like jellyfish, with their long tentacles.... or starfish with their arms...
This bush was new to us - anyone know about it? Its flower looks
like a bromeliad, but it doesn't have that cup to hold water that most
of our bromeliads have....
