Beautiful Sights Around Sydney - Part One

We say part one - because we know there will be so much more to come. Here's a starter though...
This is the view from our hotel window - looking out over Hyde Park...

The tall spire you see in the center of Hyde Park is St. Mary's Cathedral...

and inside...

This is a panorama we took of Darling Harbour. Stores,
restaurants, IMAX, etc. Pretty looking back towards the CBD...

Darling Harbour was fine, but it didn't quite
charm us or captivate us as much as the action around the Circular Quay
(pronounced here as KEY). On one side of the Quay is the Opera
House - on the other The Rocks. And in between are restaurants
galore, and of course always the busker or two giving an improv
performance. Here's a view of the Quay, where all the
ferries dock too.

Also from the Quay, looking up toward the Sydney Harbour Bridge...

And the bridge at night, taken from the Opera House. No, this is
not stolen from a postcard, it really did come out that well!

Walking around downtown, you'll come across little parks and art, like this sculptural piece...

More to come...
