Peppers on the Point - Rotorua

We spent a couple nights in Rotorua,
staying at a very chic lodge called Peppers on the Point, pronounced "Peep -urs". The
lodge was directly on the shores of Lake Rotorua itself, and the sheep
and alpaca that graced the front garden had luxury accomodations almost
as nice as ours...

Here's a bit of our room...

EJ on the bed in said room, talking to family on the Skype headset...

And though it looked cooler than it felt, we had to show you this
amazing shower, with a built-in seat and water jets for the back...

The first night there were 3 other couples in the lodge (Scotch, Aussie
and UK), The second night only 1 other couple, so it was very
private. We sat for dinner at a lovely table for two with
lakeside views...

So - this probably leads you to wonder - what was dinner like????
Tuna entrée (which is what they call appetizers. What we call entrées, they call "main")...

Fried polenta cakes...

Vegetable tower for EJ - they prepared special meals for her each night...

Tender salmon on mash (what they called mashed potatoes)

and delicious semifreddo for dessert...

Yum Yum Yum....it's all about the food...
