Every November the pods volunteer as "Soup Runners" for the Empty Bowls fundraiser.  Local potters donate bowls they have made throughout the year - local restaurants donate 5-15 gallons of gourmet soup in big drums - local chefs work the back kitchen to keep each soup hot and ready to serve - and local celebrities and movers-and-shakers serve the soup to a sell-out crowd who come have their soup served in the bowl of their choosing - which they then get to keep.

This year the photographer happened to catch this great picture of EJ, in the midst of the other "hot - shots".
