Halloween in New York City

The Pods went to New York City in October and participated in the HUGE Greenwich Village Halloween parade.
Getting the gorillas to NY was an adventure in itself! Two big
boxes, each 36" x 44" were sent to our friend Barbara's North American
Bear factory. We retrieved them and walked them up Broadway, one
by one, on a borrowed handtruck. Here they are resting in our
hotel room after their long journey across the country.
The official parade was massive, chaotic and crazy! We preferred
to be walking in costume in the streets with everyone else rather than
in the parade itself. It was fun, even though it was exhausting
too. We learned a new expression "Ya Got A Monkey On Your
Back!" Maybe 50 people told us that. Though when we wore
these costumes in the Santa Barbara Solstice parade, not one person
ever said that. Must be a New York thing.
Our good friend Kemper came from Washington DC to have a day in the
city with us, and then do the parade together. She donned her
costume, and took great photos too.:

Here we were in the elevators - on our way..
